Norwegian electronic artist M0XX has released his debut album, ‘Parallel Lives’, presenting the first full-length statement from a project launched just over a year ago.
M0XX is the musical alias of Oslo-based research professor Andreas Moxnes, whose earlier musical work included composing for theatre and dance, playing in bands, and touring Europe before focusing on academia.
Across ‘Parallel Lives’, M0XX develops what he describes as “neon techno”, combining dark electronics and basslines with luminous synths, melancholic melodies, and cinematic textures. Tracks including ‘Coming Home’, ‘Ashes’, ‘I Am Control’, ‘Ctrl-Alt-Delete’, and ‘Demon in Me’ move between club-focused and introspective territory.
Rather than being conceived as a collection of standalone tracks, the album explores recurring ideas around control, loss, longing, identity, and transformation.
M0XX is also taking the project into a live setting, with his first European performances beginning in September 2026.
