Data Transmission Presents returns with a fresh London house line-up

Data Transmission Presents is back with another London showcase after the success of its first launch party last month. This next chapter keeps the focus on house, tech house and dancefloor-led energy, bringing together a line-up that mixes rising names, credible selectors and artists with a clear feel for how to move a room.

What stands out straight away is the intent behind the booking. Rather than leaning on one oversized headline and filling in the rest, this bill feels curated from front to back, with each artist offering a different angle on club music while still keeping the night coherent. In a city full of overstretched listings, that kind of focus still counts for a lot.

The next step for DT Presents

The first Data Transmission Presents launch party marked the return of the brand’s event series, setting the tone with a free-entry format and a house-driven soundtrack in Shoreditch. That opening move showed the brand was not just returning to events for the sake of it, but trying to create nights with a clear musical identity and a low barrier to entry.

This follow-up date feels like the point where the idea starts to take shape. A second event always says more than a launch does. It shows whether the booking vision has depth, whether the audience connection is real, and whether the promoter understands how to build momentum rather than simply announce it.

More than another line-up

A lot of events talk about community and curation, but this line-up actually gives those words some weight. There are artists here with links to Data Transmission, DT Weapons, Disco Infiltrators, Housetrax, Select Radio, Adesso and much more, which means the night carries a wider network of influence behind it.

That matters because nights tend to feel better when the people on the bill have a real relationship to the culture around them. Instead of a random list of names, this line up is like a snapshot of people actively building, releasing, presenting and pushing music through different channels. That always leads to better sets and a more joined-up atmosphere in the room. Expect epic moments

Deep Fiktion

Deep Fiktion come into the event with a sound that feels made for close, sweaty dancefloors. Their recent Data Transmission Spotlight Mix was framed around a bouncy tech house session built for basements, terraces and late-night spaces, which points to an artist with a clear understanding of movement and groove.

Rising Stars of the Tech House scene and former school friends Eldeanyo and Greg Willowe combine in 2024 to launch their new alias – Deep Fiktion. Both artists have earnt their stripes in recent years both as producers and DJ’s. Collectively they have released tracks on labels such as Adesso, Subtractive, Chuggy Trax, Vivifier, The Vibe Arrived and Design. Individually and as a duo they’ve played some of the biggest stages in the UK dance scene, including sets at Ministry of Sound, Egg, Source Bar, Concorde 2, The Arch, Oxted Festival, Bournemouth 7’s, Café Mambo Festival and many more.

They closed out 2023 with a headline show in Manchester and begin 2024 with a stacked club and festival schedule including their first summer residency in Ibiza. They began 2024 with releases on Vivifier and Adesso, achieving top 5’s on both Beatport and traxsource, and their track Dumb gaining huge support from industry peers by reaching no.65 on the overall chart on 1001 tracklist, based on radio and DJ support. 2024 is set to be a breakthrough year with further releases planned on Dvine sounds, Adesso, Circus, Freakin 909 and Traded to name a few.

Carlos Van D

Carlos Van D a midlands based Disco and House DJ. His sets are shaped around crowd connection and musical storytelling, blending new records with classics in a way that keeps the energy moving while staying rooted in dancefloor instinct. That makes him a strong fit for a night like Data Transmission Presents, where the success of the event depends as much on feel and flow as it does on names on a flyer. As part of the Data Transmission Presents events team, Carlos contributes both as a curator and performer across club showcases, festival stage takeovers and international events linked to the wider platform. His role within the Data Transmission ecosystem adds another layer to that. He hosts the globally broadcast Disco Infiltrators radio show on Data Transmission, using it to spotlight new releases, guest mixes and disco-influenced house, while his background as co-founder of the international club night BLEND speaks to a longer-running commitment to building communities around the music

Hobbs

Hobbs brings clear production credentials into the room. Label manager and A&R for Data Transmission & Co-owner of Reptile Dysfunction with Doorly, The Manchester-based DJ and producer whose sound pulls together groove-heavy disco and house with melodic details. His music has received support from artists including Marco Carola, Roger Sanchez, Doorly and Sonny Wharton. That studio background gives his sets extra intrigue. Producers who know how records are built often have a sharper instinct for pacing, weight and frequency on the floor. Hobbs also arrives with releases across labels including Reptile Dysfunction, Whartone Records, Purple Music and Freakin’ 909, which reinforces the sense that he is bringing more than just a playlist to the night.

Danny Marx

Danny Marx is one of the strongest pure house names on the bill. Data Transmission’s own Spotlight Mix coverage describes him as an East London-based house DJ and producer with releases on Simma Black, Motive, King Street Sounds and Salted, alongside appearances at clubs and events including Ministry of Sound, Egg, Electric Brixton, Eden Ibiza and Amsterdam Dance Event. He is clearly rooted in house music, but not trapped inside one narrow lane. His mix was described as moving through deep house, disco, gospel, piano house, garage and tech touches, which suggests a selector who can build colour into a set without losing structure. For a London crowd, that kind of flexibility will definitely land well.

Luke Siekiera

Luke Siekiera adds a brighter, more vocal-led edge to the event. Beatport describes him as a UK-based producer who has built a name through underground house and tech house, while also highlighting multiple number one releases and support from names including Jess Bays, Deeper Purpose and Claptone. He is the founder of Housetrax, combined with recent record releases on Perfect Havoc, his emphasis on vocal-heavy records and big piano energy, suggests an artist who understands both immediacy and brand identity. On a line-up like this, Luke feels well placed to provide one of the more uplifting moments of the night.

DR SJ

Dr SJ is a GP by day and DJ-producer by night, with a growing profile across the Welsh and London electronic scenes. Through Foxtrot Alpha Recordings, she has helped create a platform for both established and emerging artists, and her recent sets have drawn attention for their uplifting grooves and energetic melodic style. Founder of the international clubbing brand @BlendIbiza Dr SJ has created a platform for upcoming DJs to play in iconic venues around the world. Her recent highlights include performances alongside Doorly in Ibiza and headline slots at venues including Ministry of Sound and Egg London. With a developing catalogue of releases and more bookings ahead, Dr SJ’s trajectory points toward wider recognition beyond her medical career.

Rooby

Rooby is the host of Rooby’s House on London-based Select Radio, with the show you get a deep, underground and funky tech house with groove at the core, built around rolling basslines, hypnotic rhythms and high-energy selections. Rooby invites guest DJs into the studio for a chat and to drop a mix. Rooby works closely with Lizzie Curious on Curious Energy as label A&R and resident, and she has also been part of the Toolroom Academy.

For this event, that is a strong fit. A excellent DJ with radio experience, a defined sound and A&R instincts often brings a sharper sense of programming into the booth. Rooby is the sort of artist who can build a set with movement and detail, rather than simply chase reactions track by track.

Why this event matters

What Data Transmission Presents seems to be doing well is building identity through consistency. The first event established a house and tech house foundation, and this new date continues that direction with a line-up that values groove, movement and musical range over obvious hype.

That is good news for London’s smaller and mid-sized club ecosystem, where the most satisfying nights often come from coherent programming rather than inflated branding. If DT Presents keeps moving like this, it could become a reliable fixture for crowds who want proper house music without the noise that usually surrounds it.
