ICE THOMPSON and Jose M, ‘Say Hey’

ICE THOMPSON and Jose M land on Thompson Street Records with ‘Say Hey’ on 29 May 2026, bringing a stripped-back club cut with just enough bite to keep the floor moving.

The Colombian-born, US-based ICE THOMPSON links with fellow Medellín artist Jose M for a rolling, tech-led workout that flips that classic ODB and Kelis vocal into something deeper, tougher and built for late-night pressure. No big tricks. No messy overcooking. Just a familiar hook worked into the groove, tight percussion doing the heavy lifting, and a low-end that keeps everything properly locked.

ICE THOMPSON has been putting in the hours for more than a decade, shaping his sound across the Medellín scene before taking it further out. His catalogue has touched labels including Stereo Productions, Roush and Hottrax, with support along the way from Jamie Jones, Green Velvet, Hernán Cattáneo and John Digweed. That sort of backing does not happen by accident.

On ‘Say Hey’, that experience shows. The track keeps things lean and functional, but there is still character in the vocal chops and bounce in the drums. It is the sort of record that works because it knows exactly what it is doing, built for packed basements, warm-up pressure and those longer sets where one recognisable vocal can turn heads without taking over the room.

We premiere ICE THOMPSON and Jose M’s ‘Say Hey’ on Data Transmission.

Stream it, play it loud, and grab it from 29 May.
