Pacha New York lights the fuse on a new Brooklyn dancefloor era

Back

Something big is shifting in New York nightlife. The kind of shift you feel in your chest before the bass even drops. Pacha New York lands at the Brooklyn Mirage, opening a fresh chapter for one of the city’s most iconic dance spaces. This is not a reboot for the sake of it. This is legacy meeting intent, and it starts from June and runs through October 2026.

The Brooklyn Mirage has always been more than bricks and LEDs. It is sweat-soaked summer nights, arms in the air, bass rolling through the borough. Now, under its new identity as Pacha New York, the venue steps into a global lineage shaped by over 50 years of dancefloor culture. Ibiza roots. Worldwide reach. Brooklyn soul intact.

This new era is powered by a long-term agreement that places full operational management of the Mirage and Great Hall complex in the hands of FIVE Holdings. The partnership brings together Avant Gardner’s local foundations with the global experience of The Pacha Group. The result feels deliberate, confident, and built for longevity rather than headlines.

From day one, the programming aims high. June to October 2026 will see world-class electronic artists, Grammy-winning performers, and essential homegrown talent sharing the same stage. No silos. No shortcuts. Just a broad, forward-facing sound that mirrors the modern electronic landscape. Big moments are promised, and not just the obvious ones.

Production will go large, but the soul stays underground. Think festival-scale energy with club-level intimacy. The kind of nights that start outdoors and end with hoarse voices and tired smiles. Brooklyn knows that feeling well.

Beyond the summer run, the upgraded Great Hall keeps the lights on year-round. Multi-genre bookings. Live shows. New sounds finding space to breathe. This is a venue designed to stay active, not seasonal. Crucially, Pacha New York keeps its feet planted locally. Ongoing partnerships with Brooklyn artists, collectives, and promoters ensure the venue remains a reflection of the community that shaped it.

“New York – the financial and cultural capital of the world – represents more than a market expansion for FIVE and Pacha; it marks a defining moment in our global journey. This move reflects the strength of our vision, the resilience of our platform, and our ambition to help shape the future of entertainment on a global stage. We are entering a city that influences how the world thinks, creates, and connects – and we do so with bold imagination, long-term commitment, and the confidence to build destinations that resonate far beyond their physical walls. For us, New York is not simply a new chapter – it is a statement of intent about the scale of our aspirations and the cultural impact we are here to create,” says Kabir Mulchandani, Chairman and Chief Executive, FIVE Holdings.

“After supporting Avant Gardner through a challenging period in 2025, we are pleased to have achieved an agreement in principle with the Committee of Unsecured Creditors resolving all material matters related to the Chapter 11 plan and sale transaction, as reflected in yesterday’s filings in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. With these matters now resolved, the transition to FIVE and Pacha can move forward in earnest.

We are thrilled to partner with FIVE and Pacha to bring a world-class operator to Brooklyn. We are deeply grateful for the constructive engagement of all constituencies including AG employees, state and local regulators, artists, agents, and unsecured creditors, throughout this process. The partnership with FIVE and Pacha is about restoring the venue as a beloved destination for music fans, and we look forward to seeing it elevated to even greater heights,” said Andrew Axelrod, CEO and CIO of Axar Capital.

At its heart, Pacha New York is a statement about nightlife done properly. Global but grounded. Ambitious but human. A stage for artists. A home for music lovers. A new chapter in a 50-year story of dancing together.

Backed by the heritage of The Pacha Group and rooted firmly in Brooklyn, Pacha New York arrives ready to write some serious nights into the city’s memory banks. Lock it in. This one is built for the dancefloor.
