British-born, Swedish-based producer and musician Crackazat has announced his fourth studio album, ‘Sun’, alongside the new single ‘Whatchu Say’. Out now via Freerange Records, the track offers a first glimpse into the upcoming full-length project. The LP is set for release on May 15th, 2026.
‘Sun’ blends jazz, house, hip-hop, soul, and funk while moving across different moods and styles. The project reflects Crackazat’s approach as a musician, collaborator, and producer, expanding the direction heard throughout his catalog.
‘Whatchu Say’ places Crackazat’s musicianship at the center. The track opens with a piano riff before unfolding into a groove inspired by 1980s Brit-funk and classic soul songwriting. Crackazat’s falsetto vocals carry the main hook and a bridge section, while live bass lines sit alongside a collaboration with drummer and producer Tamez Dolev.
The single follows the previously released ‘Pick Me Up’, continuing the rollout toward the full album. A remix EP is also planned, featuring club-focused versions from Karizma and Crackazat’s own Manas Dubs.
