Hudd Traxx is marking two decades of activity with a new compilation. Titled ‘20 Traxx From The Hudd’, the release gathers twenty new cuts selected by label founder Eddie Leader.
Handpicked by Leader, the compilation brings together a wide group of artists connected to the label’s sound. The project reflects the ethos that has guided Hudd Traxx since its beginnings: soulful house, inventive production, and a clear underground focus.
The record opens with Black Loops’ ‘Soul to Soul Communication’, setting the tone with a deep and fluid groove. Elsewhere, Cinthie contributes ‘Hudd House’, built around warm analog textures, while Seven Davis Jr. delivers the stripped-back pulse of ‘Infrasound’. Additional contributions arrive from artists such as Groove Armada, Chez Damier, Jovonn, Tuccillo, DJ Sneak, Oliver Dollar, Tiger Stripes, and Mark Farina alongside Homero Espinosa.
Founded in 2005, Hudd Traxx has operated as a platform for artists including Nightmares On Wax and Matthew Herbert. The label has remained guided by Eddie Leader’s curatorial direction and focus on craftsmanship. As a producer, Leader has released music on Classic, Robsoul, and Balance Alliance, earning support from DJs such as Laurent Garnier, Kerri Chandler, Derrick Carter, Josh Wink, and Disclosure.
With ‘20 Traxx From The Hudd’, the label reflects on twenty years of activity while presenting new material from artists tied to its catalogue and community.
