As the founder of Bercana Music and music director at Scorpios, his work bridges digital and organic elements, drawing from a wider cultural palette while maintaining a clear artistic voice.
With his latest single ‘Searchin’ For Someone’ alongside ZHOCA now out on Scorpios Music, Lannka continues to refine a sound rooted in emotion and narrative.
In this conversation, Lannka opens up about his creative process, collaborations, and the evolving identity behind his work.
EG: Hi, Lannka! Welcome to EG. It’s a pleasure to have you here with us. How have you been doing?
Lannka: Thank you for having me. It’s a pleasure to be here. I’ve been very well, balancing studio time and Scorpios program curation with travel and performances. It’s been an intense but inspiring period, and I feel creatively very aligned at the moment.
EG: First of all, thank you for your contribution to our EG Podcast series! We enjoyed this one very much. What can you tell us about this mix? Is there a concept driving this one? How do you usually go about creating these sorts of sets?
Lannka: Thank you. I’m really glad you enjoyed it. This mix is very much a storytelling journey, built around deep melodic grooves and evolving atmospheres. I approach these sets almost cinematically, allowing emotions to unfold gradually rather than forcing moments. I usually start with a loose emotional direction rather than a rigid plan, selecting tracks that resonate with that feeling, and then I let intuition guide the flow. It’s about creating a narrative that feels organic, immersive, and timeless.
EG: Since we’re on the congratulations front…kudos on the release of your most recent single on Scorpios Music, ‘Searchin’ For Someone’! You must still be excited to have this one out. What has the initial reception been like so far?
Lannka: Thank you so much. Yes, I’m truly excited about this release. The initial response has been very positive, both from the crowd during performances and from listeners worldwide. It’s always rewarding when a track connects emotionally with people; it means the intention behind it has translated.
EG: ‘Searchin’ For Someone’ sees you linking up with ZHOCA. How did the relationship between the two of you come about? What was the recording process for this one like?
Lannka: ZHOCA and I connected quite naturally through a shared musical vision. There was an immediate understanding in terms of aesthetics and emotional direction. The process itself was very fluid, less about overthinking and more about capturing a certain feeling in the moment. It evolved organically, with each of us bringing elements that complemented the other, resulting in something very honest and cohesive.
“My advice would be to stay true to your artistic voice and focus on quality over quantity. I’d like to see more individuality and depth, and less repetition and short-lived trends”
EG: In your eyes, what are the keys to a “successful” collaboration? When would you deem a collaboration as a “success”?
Lannka: A successful collaboration is built on mutual respect, trust, and a shared vision. It’s important that both artists feel free to express themselves while remaining open to each other’s ideas. For me, it’s a success when the final result feels greater than the sum of its parts, when it creates an emotional impact and resonates with people beyond the studio.
EG: Speaking about Scorpios…for those unaware, you are the music director at Scorpios Mykonos. What can we expect from Scorpios for this upcoming summer season? Is it more about preserving an “essence”, or about evolving organically with time?
Lannka: Scorpios has a very strong identity, so preserving its essence is always at the core. At the same time, evolution is inevitable and necessary. The approach is to evolve organically without losing the spirit that defines it. This season will continue to focus on immersive musical experiences, blending cultures and sounds, while introducing new artists and ideas that push things forward in a subtle and refined way.
EG: On to a broader subject…What would you like to accomplish as artists this year? Is there something “tangible” that you’d like to go for?
Lannka: This year is about deepening the artistic identity, both in terms of releases and performances. I want to focus on creating music that has longevity and emotional depth. Tangibly, there are several releases and collaborations in the pipeline, as well as expanding into new territories and audiences.
EG: What are some of the challenges artists will face in the near future? What advice would you give to your colleagues? What would you like to see more and less of?
Lannka: One of the main challenges is maintaining authenticity in an increasingly fast-paced and trend-driven environment. It’s easy to get caught up in visibility rather than substance. My advice would be to stay true to your artistic voice and focus on quality over quantity. I’d like to see more individuality and depth, and less repetition and short-lived trends.

EG: What’s next for Lannka? Where can your fans catch you next?
Lannka: There’s a very exciting summer ahead, with performances across various cities and, of course, at Scorpios Mykonos and Bodrum. Alongside that, I’ll be releasing new music and continuing to develop collaborations. Fans can expect a continuous flow of both live experiences and studio work.
EG: Thank you so much for your time, Lannka! We wish you all the best in the future. Take care!
Lannka: Thank you, it’s been a pleasure. I truly appreciate the support.
