Kristofson brings the heat back to There Was Jack with ‘Luvin’

Kristofson returns to There Was Jack on 10th July with ‘Luvin’, a punchy vocal house cut built for proper club pressure.

The Hungarian producer, who also carries German roots, launched the Kristofson project in 2024 after years moving around Europe under a former alias. Since then, he’s been carving out a sharper house-focused lane, with releases landing on Toolroom Trax, Golden Recordings, HouseU and Mother Recordings.

Not a bad little run.

Support has followed too, with names like Claptone, Fatboy Slim, Diplo, A-Trak, David Penn and CASSIMM already getting behind his music. Now he steps back onto There Was Jack after a previous single on the label, and this one feels right at home.

Kristofson’s track ‘Luvin’ does the business without overthinking it. The groove is tight, the bassline has weight, and the drums keep everything moving with that clean club-house snap. Synth touches roll through the arrangement, but the vocal is the real lift here, giving the record its hook without dragging it away from the floor.

It’s one for warm rooms, busy terraces and those late-set moments where the vocal needs to cut through but the groove still has to do the heavy lifting.

There Was Jack has always had a good ear for house records that work beyond the promo inbox, and Kristofson’s track ‘Luvin’ keeps that line moving nicely.
